Quarry Bay is a densely populated neighborhood in Eastern Hong Kong, with numerous business and residential spaces opening each year. The number of commercial constructions in this district has dramatically risen over the past 20 years.

Quarry Bay has its own MTR station which is only seven stops away from the center on the blue line. Buses leave from the Central bus station to Quarry Bay every 15 minutes. The tram runs from and to Quarry Bay every few minutes of the day. Quarry Bay is a real paradise for those who like eating out with more restaurants than you could imagine. From Western to local you will find most cuisines here: Plat du Jour, Mr. and Mrs. Fox, The News Room and many many more.
It is certainly not as massive as its neighboring malls in Causeway Bay and Wan Chai, but Quarry Bay has a huge boutique shopping scene. Some shops that are definitely worth visiting are L’Strawberry, Lass, Diana Le Luxe, and of course, Cityplaza, Hong Kong Island’s largest 10-storied mall, with over 160 shops, restaurants, cinema, and an ice skating rink.
One of the many cool exciting things- to- do here might be visiting Alexander Grantham Exhibition Gallery. The fireboat which once served as the flagship of the Hong Kong fireboat team is now open to the public and demonstrates numerous one-of-a-kind firefighting artifacts that illustrate marine rescue work in Hong Kong.
Quarry Bay Promenade is a spacious leisure hub for people and dogs. Besides Promenade is located right next to the sea, that is why you have a fantastic view of the harbor while walking your dogs or having your morning run along the 500-meter long road.
Another exciting attraction is the Film Archive dedicated to the preservation of movie heritage and to promoting of Hong Kong’s film culture as well as facilitating research into the history of local cinematography.
